Three of our wine and spirits courses are offered as short afternoon or evening workshops for private groups of 8 to 24 people. Just select your course, date and time, and decide on the location, which can be the ITHQ or a place of your own choosing, including your home or office!

ABC’s of wine

$95 + taxes per participant*

If you want to learn to better appreciate wines and use the right terms to describe them, look no further than our private workshop ABC’s of wine! You’ll be introduced to the world of wine by an enthusiastic instructor who can answer all your questions about managing wine cellars, serving wines, and any other wine-related topics. In three comparison tastings with two wines each, you will learn the terminology of wine tasting as well as the key principles of food and wine pairing.

Prosecco, cava, crémant and champagne. Are they all the same? Find out in the private workshop Bubblies. Our instructor will develop your understanding of sparkling wine terminology, teaching you how to distinguish between the different types and interpret the information on their labels in order to make better purchases. You may also compare the principle methods of producing sparkling wines, six of which will be tasted during the workshop. Get ready to tickle your taste buds and make them sing!

Scotches and Whiskies

$105 + taxes per participant*

Today produced all around the globe, whisky is unquestionably the most noble of the distilled spirits. Take part in our private workshop Scotches and Whiskies to learn about the terminology of whisky, the top whisky-producing countries and the distinctive features of their products. Our instructor will also teach you how to interpret the information on whisky labels in order to make better purchases. Spend an evening among friends practicing the techniques of whisky tasting and learning to distinguish the brine, peat and fruit aromas that characterize this most highly prized “water of life”. You’re sure to end the evening in high spirits!

Workshops held more than 50 kilometres from the ITHQ are also subject to an additional charge of $0.43 per kilometre.
